Weekend Rain and Storms Tuesday #ARWX
Here are a couple of graphics summarizing the weather for Arkansas over the weekend and early next week.
For this weekend (especially Saturday), the rain won’t be letting up, only getting a little stronger and seeing more of it.
There’s also a chance of severe weather on Tuesday. There was a chance for it on Monday as well, but the SPC has downgraded it. I’ll continue to monitor and update here when needed. I’ll also talk more about next week’s severe weather in tomorrow’s Weekly Wrap Up on my other weather blog.

The major storms missed Hot Springs (some rain, lightning, and thunder did happen). It’ll still be damp and dreary the rest of the afternoon and evening, but we’ve been spared the brunt of it. Here’s a look at the Future Radar for this evening.

Light Rain Today, Update on Thanksgiving’s Storm Potential #ARWX
There’s some light rain around the state this afternoon. The second map shows a look at the current high-res radar. The first map shows an update for the storm potential for Thanksgiving. Looks to be mostly heavy rain with a flooding potential and thunderstorms with the tornado potential shifting more toward Texas and Louisiana.
