Last night’s showers didn’t keep our heat down for long. It’s still brutal out there this afternoon. Experience caution when involved in outdoor activities.

A nice thunderstorm is in Hot Springs and Garland County at the moment. It’s bringing intense rain and will hopefully cool us off, but it’s not enough to be a severe weather event.

The heat is still brutal across the region. Exercise caution when performing outdoor activities until the evening.

There’s an Excessive Heat Warning in effect for much of Arkansas (pink) and a Heat Advisory in effect for other parts of the state (orange).

While we could have an occasional shower or thunderstorm, it seems the severe risk is outside of Central Arkansas this weekend. Nice to have a break from some of it!



Severe weather chances continue today. There is also a flood risk in Missouri.
