There is a major winter storm that is likely to hit the Central US, bringing with it snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Arkansas is directly in the path of the winter storm, and I’ve been hearing differing reports from at least 6” of snow in Hot Springs to a snow/freezing rain mix.

Most of the state is under a Winter Storm Watch.

We are under a Wind Advisory going into Sunday, but the good news is the Severe Risk has been dramatically lowered across most of Arkansas. There will be some rain and thunderstorms, but it likely will not be severe.
